Muslim Soldier Turned Jihadist Naser Abdo Part II: [Update 5-6: Neighbor Abdo Was "Mean" Seemed Like Type to "Blow People Up"- Mom Has Two Prostitution Convictions]

(Forbes) –WACO, Texas -An AWOL soldier accused of plotting an attack at Fort Hood was defiant during his first court appearance, yelling out the name of the man accused of killing 13 people at the same Texas Army base in 2009.

Federal prosecutors charged 21-year-old Pfc. Naser Abdo (AB’-doh) with possessing an illegal firearm during his court hearing on Friday.

As Abdo left the courtroom, he yelled “Nidal Hasan Fort Hood 2009.” Hasan is charged with killing 13 people in the worst mass shooting ever on a U.S. military installation.

The military’s criminal investigation division, along with the federal Joint Terrorism Task Force, had previously investigated Abdo after he was flagged for making unspecified anti-American comments while taking a language class, according to a U.S. official briefed on the investigation.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said neither the military nor the task force discovered anything at the time to indicate Abdo was planning an attack, the official said. [...]

I sure would like to know what the “unspecified anti-American comments” were, and decide for myself. As proven with Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan, the PC dhimmitude attitude of US Military brass was a catalyst to the jihad massacre at Fort Hood. Since his “anti-American” statements were ignored for fear of bruising tender muslim sensitivities. And we all know how that worked out, fourteen human lives were ended on that horrific day, by a [another] muslim serving in the armed forces, who sent up red flags, left -unchecked.

Further information gathered about Abdo from his web page also reveals that one of his significant interests is CAIR (Council for American Islamic relations).

Sooo…Hassen Abdo was a fan of Hamas linked CAIR. Hmm… does that mean that CAIR is responsible for Abdo’s jihadist plans??? What say you blame gamers who pointed fingers at anti-jihad writers/bloggers in the wake of the Norway massacre???

And what about Abdo’s left-wing supporters?

When Pfc. Naser Abdo applied for CO status last year, the utterly discredited Iraq Veterans Against the War organization posted a message in support of him on its website, and asked readers to donate to his legal defense fund. And Kimber Heinz, a writer for the far-left website Truthout, unluckily chose to profile Abdo in a 2010 article entitled, “One Year After Fort Hood: The Missing Story of Muslim Peacemaking.”

“We must lift up the stories and ongoing work of Muslim peacemakers like Naser Abdo,” Heinz wrote.

CNN and Al Jazeera also both featured  glowing segments on Abdo’s quest to obtain CO status.

Does responsibility for his jihad plot fall into their laps as well? Take your time progs, I can wait…

The officials told ABC News Private First Class Naser Jason Abdo had apparently stashed in the room an article from the first issue of al Qaeda’s “Inspire” magazine called “How to Build a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom.”In addition to the magazine, one senior U.S. official told ABC News Abdo had also mentioned the name of one of the most high profile leaders of the Yemen-based al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), American-born Anwar al-Awlaki[All emphasis mine].

Frightening details of Abdo’s jihad plans surface today:

(Army Times) –Federal prosecutors charged Pfc. Naser Abdo, 21, with possessing an illegal firearm, two days after he was arrested at a motel about 3 miles from the front gate of Fort Hood. He told authorities he planned to construct two bombs in the motel room using gunpowder and shrapnel packed into pressure cookers and then detonate the explosives at a restaurant frequented by soldiers, court documents released Friday said.

Cocky bastard.

Abdo refused to stand up during Friday’s court hearing when asked.

Update 3: Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan’s name was not the only name Naser Abdo invoked as he was leaving the courtroom today.  AP correspondent Jamie Stengel reports he also shouted “‘a name in Arabic ‘ followed by Iraq 2006″. Listen to audio of her report here.

Update 4:

Contradictory to the ABC report [quoted here, update 7] that Abdo was raised by his father, but according to this report his parents divorced in 1993. By my math (Abdo’s 21) that would of made him around 4-5 years old at the time that his parents split up.

And the kicker is that his father Jamal Abdo was deported (back?) to Jordon last year, from Killeen, Texas (Fort Hood!) after having lived there for 25 years, due to his solicitation of a minor [see update 5]. Son joined the Army around the same time frame that Pop was kicked out of the US…interesting.

(AP) WACO, Texas —[...]Police and the Army say Abdo admitted plotting an attack, but in Fuhais, Jordan, his father insisted the allegations were “all lies from A to Z.”

“My son loved people no matter who they are, whether Jews or Christians,” Jamal Abdo said. “Naser is not the kind of a person who harbors evil for the other people, he cannot kill anyone and he could not have done any bad thing.”

Jamal Abdo, 52, is a Jordanian who lived near Fort Hood in Killeen for 25 years until he was deported from the United States last year after being convicted of soliciting a minor.

He was born in Texas to a non-denominational Christian mother and a Muslim father. Jamal Abdo said they divorced in 1993.[..]

Neighbors who knew Abdo when he was in school speak publicly of the boy they knew. Descriptions  run the gamut, ranging from a “good student” who was never in “any mess’ to “mean”; seeming like the type who would “make a bomb and blow people up.”

(KDAF TV Dallas Fort Worth) GARLAND, Texas— The 33 News has uncovered that Naser Abdo used to live in the Metroplex before joining the Army.  Abdo’s address on his driver’s license is 4302 Forest Point Drive in Garland, and neighbors said he shared a duplex home there with his younger sister and mother.

Dashae Williams, who lives just three houses down from Abdo’s old home, could not believe the news she was watching on TV.

“I’m like at a loss for words.  I’m still trying to cope with it,” said Williams.

“He wouldn’t say nothing unless you say something to him.  But when you say something to him, like you say, ‘Hey,’ he just look at you, roll his eyes, and keep going,” she said.

Williams told The 33 News that Abdo attended South Garland High School with her, and said he was a good student who stayed out of trouble.

“I never knew of him to be like that.  He was never into any mess, even at South [Garland High School], he was never in any mess.  He went to all of his classes and that was pretty much it,” she said.

But neighbor Shakira Doss, who also spent time at Abdo’s house, said he had few friends and was standoffish toward others.

“I’m not surprised.  I’m not surprised at all.  Like I said he was mean and he just seemed like he’d make a bomb and blow some people up,” said Doss.  “You just never know people.  That is all I can really say is that you just never know with some people.” [...]

“Mean” mixed in with Islam, an explosive combo.

(Dallas Morning News) –

Abdo’s father, Jamal Rateb Abdo, and his mother, Carlisa Morlan, divorced years ago, according to documents.

Jamal Abdo was arrested in 2004, accused of soliciting sex from a Garland detective posing online as “Molly,” a 15-year-old girl, according to records.

Between 2002 and his arrest, Jamal Abdo asked “Molly” for sex 45 times, records show. He was arrested after he showed up at an apartment complex to have sex with “Molly.”

In 2006, records show, he was sentenced to five years in state prison.

Jamal Abdo unsuccessfully appealed his conviction. He was released from a Texas prison in December 2009 and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. He was deported to Jordan in February 2010.

Update 6: Abdo’s mother also has a criminal record. Court records show, Jihadi wannabe Abdo’s mom; Carlisa Morlan was a ho. At least in the temporary sense.

Naser Abdo’s mother, Morlan, pleaded guilty or was convicted of three drug-related charges in 2002. She completed probation on those charges, records indicate. She also either served jail time or received probation for two theft charges and prostitution in 2001 and ’02, according to Dallas County records.

(KDFW) –At the time she said Morlan was seeking help for substance abuse and was mainly absent from her kids’ lives. That left Abdo and his sister in the care of their Palestinian father, a Muslim.

“The father was strange,” she said. “He just wasn’t right. It was just in his eyes.”
