With the exception of this last minute ‘kiss of death’ tweet, Obama gave Tom Barrett the cold shoulder, treating him like a political leper.

What a shame O’s tweet didn’t give Barrett the push he needed. It was so passionate and eloquent. A Twitter literary masterpiece, for sure…

To which Wisconsinite Reince Priebus, Chairman of the RNC responded:

The single tweet gave Republicans a chance to remind people that, while Obama may back Barrett, he hasn’t campaigned for him personally.

Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, replied to Obama on Twitter: “Bold tweet from the President who wouldn’t actually campaign with him or step foot in Wisconsin.”

Keep track of the State Senate recall results here. As of this time, 3 out of the 4 GOP Senators have won, with one remaining on top with 55% to 45% / 28 of 60 Precincts Reporting – 47%.

Update: The GOP Won 3 out of 4 State Senate seats. With Van Wanggaard (49%) being the lone loser in a close race to John Lehman (51%) in District 21.
