Muslim Cleric Tears Bible At Protest Outside the US Embassy in Cairo

(AINA) — During the demonstration which was held in front of the American Embassy in Cairo on Tuesday, 9/11, a Muslim cleric named Abu Islam tore and burned the Holy Bible in front of thousands of Muslims. His action was met with applause and anti-Christian cheers from the demonstrators. Before leaving the demonstration and getting into his car, he told the crowds “next time I will urinate on it.”

The video above shows the Muslim cleric tearing the Bible. The video says:

• 0.02 “the overwhelming Book, the Book of Truth and Peace. The place for these words and this book is over the heads because it is the real inspiration… (He places the Koran on his head) voices chanting Allahu Akbar.
• 0.30 He Says: message to the Egyptian Christians. Out of respect and politeness to the Egyptian Christians we will not do the same like what they did to our God’s book , we will be generous towards you today and say we will respect you “momentarily.” We will respect this book which is in the Arabic language.
• 0:54 Demonstrators’ chants “Coming, Coming O Islam”
• 1.09 Abu Islam holds another bible and says: This is the book the dog Terry believes in, as well as those dogs with him the Egyptian Christians in America.
• 1.19 Abu Islam: Today I can only TEAR IT APART. He starts tearing the bible and throwing the leaves towards the mob, amid chants of Allahu Akbar and “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Mohammad is coming.”
• 2.06 Abu Islam saying: to all the cross worshippers around the world we will not keep quiet . Today, we tore it.
• 2.13 a man in blue beside him burns the bible raising it for everyone to see.
• Abu Islam: Salamu Aleycom (Peace be with you) and leaves, with mob chanting “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Mohammad is coming.” “Governing, governing, O Koran.” “Coming, Coming O Islam.”

In an interview today with The Mohit newspaper, Abu Islam denied burning the Bible, he said “I tore it apart and threw it to the demonstrators to step on it with their shoes.” He added, “Next time I will make my grandson urinate on it…”

Now if one were to subscribe to the the left-wing argument that filmmakers are to blame for violence committed by those offended by a video’s content. Then if thousands of Christians after having viewed this video, went on a violent rampage assassinating diplomats, torching embassies etc., they would be justified in doing so.

Disproportionate response you say?

No more apologizing! We are Americans!

As I sit here in our Congressional office, I have just learned about another Taliban attack attributed to the Koran issue, this time wounding four Americans at FOB Fenty in Jalalabad. We have already had four Americans killed and another six wounded. The hypocrisy of this matter is quite concerning. All over the globe Christians are being persecuted and even killed by the followers of the Koran; Copts in Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, Nigeria. The fact that no westerner is allowed to walk the streets of Mecca or Medina in Saudi Arabia and that Bibles are prohibited is a blatant show of disrespect. In Iran, a converted Christian Minister is under threat of death. It reminds me of the Abdul Rahman case in Afghanistan when I was assigned there. Mr Rahman was an Afghan who had converted from Islam to Christianity and had returned to Afghanistan as an aid worker. He was turned in by his own family and was to be executed under the crime of apostasy, yes, his crime was that he had converted from Islam to Christianity.

Let me remind you all, when tolerance becomes a one way street it leads to cultural suicide. Ironically, our own President mandates what Christians must do in clear violation of the First Amendment but yet apologizes for the disposal of detention facility contraband to President Karzai, following suit with bowing to the Saudi King, apologizing in Cairo, and relegating the US to subservience in a speech before the Turkish General Assembly.

This Country must have American leadership which will stand for our Constitution, the Republic, and its Citizens…..and especially for the Men and Women in uniform who represent the best of who we are.

No more apologizing! We are Americans!

A few examples of acts desecrating a holy book. Not the Quran –the Bible. Acts that are not vilified by the left, acts that are not a cause of progressive sanctimonious outrage. The left fall over themselves when it comes to defending Islam. Free speech stands between the free and tyrants, a right that is non-existent in Islam. What does that make Islam? Since it is not ok to burn Qurans, I assume it would not be ok to immerse a Quran in a jar of urine, or an create a piece consisting of Mohammed surrounded by genitalia.

More to the point, we live in a world where “Piss Christ” is considered a work of art suitable for public viewing. It’s creator hailed as a hero of free expression by the NY Times, became a celebrity in the art world. (More examples here)

It’s time to ask. Why?

Perhaps the Florida pastor should of promoted his Quran burning as “art”. Heh.

Does the pastor in Florida have a right to burn Quran’s? Most certainly. Should he proceed with such a provocative act? That is entirely up to him. Even fools have the right of free expression. And I will always remain on the side of free speech. Regardless of the individual expressing his/her view. Of course, I also reserve the right to speak out in opposition of those which I disagree. That is the beauty of free speech. It works both ways. That is how it is supposed to work anyways. Picking and choosing who should have the right to free speech is not free speech.

The touchy-feely left speaking out against the Quran burning, are more concerned with the tender sensibilities of Muslims, than they are with free speech.

Muslims who are protesting the burning of the Quran’s are demanding (in so many words) that non-Muslims abide by THEIR laws against blasphemy. Are you prepared to slide down that slippery slope? Just so you know, there has been a concerted effort by the OIC through the UN that has been underway for years to install a global blasphemy law protecting Islam against ANY and ALL criticism. And by the way, the Ground Zero mosque Imam’s Cordoba Initiative sponsored an Islamic anti-free speech conference in 2008.

Should we worry ourselves with possible retaliation caused by the Quran bonfire? Let’s remind ourselves of the death count which came in at over 100 during the Muhammed cartoon riots (over cartoons people, CARTOONS despite this ), the murder of Theo Van Gogh over his film “Submission”. The fact that Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Geert Wilders and Lars Vilks have Fatwa’s of death placed upon them for their having “offended” Islam and are under protection 24/7.

Where do we draw the line??? This list of things that offends the ‘religion of perpetual outrage’ may or may not astound you, depending on your level of awareness.

Here’s the scoop people. Even if not one American (or any non-Muslim for that matter) [ever] spoke out against Islam, it would remain hell bent on our destruction.

Freedom is the ultimate enemy of Islam.

Our very existence as a free republic, with a demographic majority of non-Muslims offends Islam. No [other] provocation is necessary.

Not standing up to the Muslim bullies is fueling their fire. Their goal is to have the entire globe submit to Islam. We need a united front. Not yellow bellied, weak kneed appeasing cowards bowing down or pandering apologists. Or the submission will continue down a path that, trust me no matter how liberal you are you do not want to take.

It is a dead end road.
Be warned.

Truth is our ultimate weapon.

Wield it.
