The dishonorable Democrat Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison goes out of his way on Twitter to discount the drive to establish sharia in the United States.

“Strawman”, “modern witchburners”?? His words drip with taqiyyah. And regardless of the whitewashing of sharia by his Islamic brethren at the Islamic Circle of North America and their attacking Americans concerned about the threat of sharia in the US, …

With the concept of Shariah cropping up in forums across the country, and states moving to ban courts altogether from the consideration or use of Shariah, the Islamic Circle of North America is taking action. The organization’s “Understanding Shariah” campaign is geared to tackle what can easily be labeled one of the most controversial and misunderstood issues in the nation today.
Launched in May 2011, the Understanding Shariah campaign is an educational initiative that hopes to “help the public understand Shariah and counter the rise of Islamophobia in America.”
Naeem Baig, Executive Director of the ICNA Council for Social Justice hopes the campaign will further shift focus from the misnomer “Shariah law” and draw attention to what he feels is really at stake here—religious freedom. “[Because of the freedoms granted under the First Amendment] Jewish family law is acceptable in civil courts today,” says Baig. “Muslims are as American as any other faith group, and are deserving of these rights as well.”
ICNA is working on a comprehensive website to be launched as part of the campaign; the site will archive articles and references to Shariah, answer common questions on the topic and include specialized action alerts so individuals across the country can contribute to the campaign. The ICNA Shariah Council will also hold online lectures and open Q & A sessions to discuss what Shariah means, provide Imams with material for Friday sermons and pen rebuttals to hateful and misinformed reports on Shariah.
ICNA will also host educational seminars in major cities across the country, along with a daylong conference on Shariah in Washington, DC. Two special editions of Message Magazine will be dedicated to the campaign, and an estimated 200,000 copies of the magazine will be distributed nationwide. ICNA also hopes to create a public service announcement and documentary on Shariah, along with mobilizing its chapters will partner with various civic and faith based organizations, as well as local Islamic centers and national Muslim organizations to achieve these goals. The campaign is expected to last until the end of 2012.
A major objective of the campaign is to educate the “movers and shakers of society,” including senators, governors, assemblymen, professors and even high school teachers on the concept of Shariah. ICNA President Dr. Zahid Bukhari says by reaching out to these individuals, as well as print and electronic media outlets, the organization will be able to make a significant change in the understanding of Shariah amongst the American public. Organizers also hope the campaign will move people to see the anti-Shariah movement for what it is—“an attempt by Islamophobes to spread misinformation about Islam and target one religious community for cheap political gain.”

…the 2010 ICNA handbook tells a much different tale….
ICNA: An Islamic Jama’ah and Movement
Allah says in the Qur’an, “The same Deen [religion] (way of life) has He established
for you as that which he enjoined on Noah which We have sent by inspira-
tion to you (O Prophet Mohammad) and which We enjoined on Abraham,
Moses, and Jesus; namely that you should establish the Deen and make no
divisions therein”(42:13).
Allah is the Creator of the universe, and He is the Guide for everything he
has created. He created mankind and sent us to the earth with the purpose
of ‘Ibadah, or the submission to Allah’s commands. Then Allah, with His im
mense mercy, sent guidance for mankind through messengers as described
in the above ayah of the Qur’an—the guidance or Deen [religion Islam]where it was not
established.
Let us now briefly understand the meaning and scope of the words
“aqeemuddin” (to establish the Deen).[religion-Islam] These words include not only practicing the religion in individual and collective life and propagating its true teachings to others, but also striving to make this Deen [religion -Islam] a way of life for all. Propagation of the Deen is not the goal, but a means towards achieving the ultimate goal, i.e., establishing this way of life in every aspect of individual and collective life.
When we look at the lives of the prophets of Allah, we see that they struggled and strove to the same objective. Prophet Mohammad (s) in his 23
years of struggle as a messenger of Allah exemplified, with tireless, sincere
efforts, the meaning of Iqamat-ad-Deen. With his preaching, practice, and
struggle, he was able to establish a society and state based on true obedience of Allah.
The Muslim Ummah today has the same responsibility as was assigned to
the prophets of Allah, since there are not going to be any more prophets
sent by Allah after Mohammad (s). We are the trustees of Allah’s Deen, and
wherever we are, we must respond to this call, “Be helpers (in the cause) of
Allah”(16:14). While living in North America, we as Muslims share the responsibility that was assigned to the prophets. We are to follow the foot-
steps of the prophets and share this message of truth with our fellow citizens.
Page 5
We ought to understand our Deen through its sources, i.e. the Qur’an and
the Sunnah of the Prophet. We must share this understanding in our day-to-
day life, in both individual and family life. Then we must share this truth
through our words and actions. Our daily activities must shine the truth and
the beauty of this divine guidance so that we may be able to light up the way
for others. However, this monumental task cannot be carried out by individuals. There must be a collective effort launched to achieve these high objectives.
The Islamic Circle of North America is an Islamic Jama’ah, an organization struggling towards Iqamat-ad-Deen in this land. Since the early 1970′s, it has been motivating Muslims to wake up to their obligations as described above and to not be lost in the land of plenty. On one hand, they are to protect their Islamic identities and that of their children, and on the other hand, they are to take the message of Allah to their fellow Americans and Canadians. They have the unique opportunity to achieve both these objectives through an organized struggle, a national Islamic movement like ICNA.
What is an Islamic Movement?
“Islamic movement” is the term used for that organized and collective effort waged to establish Al-Islam in its complete form in all aspects of life. Its ultimate objective is to achieve the pleasure of our Creator Allah and success in the hereafter through struggle for Iqamat-ad-Deen. Islamic movements are active in various parts of the world to achieve the same objectives. It is our obligation as Muslims to engage in the same noble cause here in North America.

Jama’ah and Al-Jama’ah
Al-Jama’ah is the term used in Hadith and is synonymous with the words Ummah and Hizb used in Quran.
[Remember: ICNA: An Islamic Jama’ah and Movement --Ed.]
It implies the united Muslim Ummah in a united Islamic state, governed by an elected khalifah in accordance with the laws of shari’ah. As defined above, there can be only one al-jama’ah in a given time.
Differences between Al Jama’ah and Jama’ah or Movement
- There could be more than one Islamic Jama’ahs or movements at one
time in order to reestablish the concept of Al Jama’ah.
- Jama’ah is not an alternative to al-Jama’ah. It is only a way to al-jama’ah.
- Leadership of al-Jama’ah (or an Islamic state) has the authority to enforce Sharia’s political, educational, criminal Justice System etc that is beyond the jurisdiction of a jama’ah.
- Being part of al-jama’ah (if one exists) is a basic condition of faith (or
Iman). On the contrary, working with a jama’ah (or Islamic movement) is
important but if one stays aloof, though he may be neglecting an important
duty, it cannot be called apostasy.
- Jama’ah (or Islamic movement) will be recognized by its characteristics
and the struggle to establish Al Islam and not just by its claim only.
…as does the ICNA Charter By Laws

Clause 4: Goal
The goal of ICNA shall be to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) through the struggle for Iqamat-ud-Deen (establishment of the
Islamic system of life) as spelled out in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Interpretation:
Deen in the term Iqamat-ud-Deen means the truth which Allah (SWT). the Lord of the Universe, had revealed through all the
messengers at different times of the human history. He revealed this truth in its final and perfect form through His last
messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is the only pristine and authentic Deen which is acceptable to Allah (SWT) and is
called Islam.
This Deen encompasses the internal, external, individual, and collective aspects of the human life whether it pertains to beliefs,
rituals and morals or to economic, social or political spheres.
Not only it ensures the Divine pleasure and success in the hereafter, hut also, its establishment provides the best system of life for
proper solution of all worldly problems, and righteous and progressive reconstruction of individual and collective life.
Ellison knows damn well that the agenda of ICNA (and all other “moderate”mainstream Islamic groups, for that matter) is what it is; embedding sharia in America leading to Islam‘s goal of a global caliphate through stealth jihad.
Ellison is aiding and abetting a subversive force whose plans are to undermine the US government. ICNA is an enemy of the state and Ellison is a willing cohort, sleeping with the enemy.
And that America, makes Ellison a traitor in office. I’d tell him what I think of his lies on Twitter, but last year I truth smacked him hard and the coward blocked me.
Oh, but we who dare speak out against the establishment of sharia in the US, are just a big, hateful bunch of bigoted islamophobes, witch burners and builders of strawmen.
The charge of islamophobia is a strategical tactic to silence the –TRUTH.
H/T Creeping Sharia who asks:
In any event, will the Muslim Congressman who went to the College of Sharia on Presidents Day weekend a few years ago join the spread-sharia National Sharia Campaign?
And many thanks to the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) for all of their hard work and dedication on lifting the veil and exposing the truth.
