Milwaukee: Armed Victim Shoots & Kills 15 Yr Old Serial Thug During Armed Robbery Attempt

September 9, 2014 at 8:24 am

The deceased is believed to be a member of a violent thieving street gang (of which the youngest are 2 FOURTEEN year old boys) responsible for “DOZENS” of armed robberies committed over a THREE day period, including the one where he met his match (a good guy with a gun) and fatally so. Five of his comrades have subsequently been arrested.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police have issued an update on a fatal shooting that occurred during an attempted armed robbery early Monday morning, September 1st [2014]. Police say a 15-year-old boy, whom they describe as a known gang member, was shot and killed at 2nd and National.

Police say the 15-year-old boy had previously been arrested for armed robbery, auto theft, fleeing and theft.

Then why was he allowed to continue to roam the streets preying on society at large?

Police say he was a victim in a non-fatal shooting that occurred on August 1st in the 3100 block of N. 55th Street.

A 30-year-old West Allis man was taken into custody Monday for shooting the 15-year-old boy. He has been released — but ordered in to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office on a future date.

Police say they have arrested five additional suspects believed to be part of a group responsible for “dozens” of Milwaukee-area robberies committed over a three-day period — including the 2nd and National attempted armed robbery that resulted in the fatal shooting.

The suspects arrested by police are: two 14-year-old boys, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man.

Kids the moral of the story is;  when you become a violent predatory taker, always be prepared to meet your maker.

Oh and although this should go without saying, I’m going to say it none the less …’guns save lives‘ of potential victims.

Columbine Survivor’s Open Letter To Obama Rejecting Gun Control: “Whose Side Are You On?”

June 13, 2014 at 7:17 am

gun_control_expertsThis is dated February 2013, but as you all are well aware the topic remains highly relevant to this day.

Via The Blaze:

Columbine survivor Evan Todd released an open letter to President Barack Obama on Wednesday in which he offers a point-by-point analysis of proposed firearms control initiatives, dismissing them as ineffective and dangerous to Americans’ rights.

He recently outlined why he fervently disagrees with the gun control policies that have been proposed in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. TheBlaze interviewed Todd earlier this week and subsequently detailed how his experience being shot back in 1999 has shaped his views on the issue.

Mr. President,

As a student who was shot and wounded during the Columbine massacre, I have a few thoughts on the current gun debate. In regards to your gun control initiatives:

Universal Background Checks

First, a universal background check will have many devastating effects. It will arguably have the opposite impact of what you propose. If adopted, criminals will know that they can not pass a background check legally, so they will resort to other avenues. With the conditions being set by this initiative, it will create a large black market for weapons and will support more criminal activity and funnel additional money into the hands of thugs, criminals, and people who will do harm to American citizens.

Second, universal background checks will create a huge bureaucracy that will cost an enormous amount of tax payers dollars and will straddle us with more debt. We cannot afford it now, let alone create another function of government that will have a huge monthly bill attached to it.

Third, is a universal background check system possible without universal gun registration? If so, please define it for us. Universal registration can easily be used for universal confiscation. I am not at all implying that you, sir, would try such a measure, but we do need to think about our actions through the lens of time.

It is not impossible to think that a tyrant, to the likes of Mao, Castro, Che, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and others, could possibly rise to power in America. It could be five, ten, twenty, or one hundred years from now — but future generations have the natural right to protect themselves from tyrannical government just as much as we currently do. It is safe to assume that this liberty that our forefathers secured has been a thorn in the side of would-be tyrants ever since the Second Amendment was adopted.

Ban on Military-Style Assault Weapons

The evidence is very clear pertaining to the inadequacies of the assault weapons ban. It had little to no effect when it was in place from 1994 until 2004. It was during this time that I personally witnessed two fellow students murder twelve of my classmates and one teacher. The assault weapons ban did not deter these two murderers, nor did the other thirty-something laws that they broke.

Gun ownership is at an all time high. And although tragedies like Columbine and Newtown are exploited by ideologues and special-interest lobbying groups, crime is at an all time low. The people have spoken. Gun store shelves have been emptied. Gun shows are breaking attendance records. Gun manufacturers are sold out and back ordered. Shortages on ammo and firearms are countrywide. The American people have spoken and are telling you that our Second Amendment shall not be infringed.

10-Round Limit for Magazines

Virginia Tech was the site of the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Seung-Hui Cho used two of the smallest caliber hand guns manufactured and a handful of ten round magazines. There are no substantial facts that prove that limited magazines would make any difference at all.
Second, this is just another law that endangers law-abiding citizens. I’ve heard you ask, “why does someone need 30 bullets to kill a deer?”

Let me ask you this: Why would you prefer criminals to have the ability to out-gun law-abiding citizens? Under this policy, criminals will still have their 30-round magazines, but the average American will not. Whose side are you on?

Lastly, when did they government get into the business of regulating “needs?” This is yet another example of government overreaching and straying from its intended purpose.

Selling to Criminals

Mr. President, these are your words: “And finally, Congress needs to help, rather than hinder, law enforcement as it does its job. We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.”

Why don’t we start with Eric Holder and thoroughly investigate the Fast and Furious program?

Furthermore, the vast majority of these mass murderers bought their weapons legally and jumped through all the hoops —  because they were determined to murder. Adding more hoops and red tape will not stop these types of people. It doesn’t now — so what makes you think it will in the future? Criminals who cannot buy guns legally just resort to the black market.

Criminals and murderers will always find a way.

Critical Examination

Mr. President, in theory, your initiatives and proposals sound warm and fuzzy — but in reality they are far from what we need. Your initiatives seem to punish law-abiding American citizens and enable the murderers, thugs, and other lowlifes who wish to do harm to others.

Let me be clear: These ideas are the worst possible initiatives if you seriously care about saving lives and also upholding your oath of office. There is no dictate, law, or regulation that will stop bad things from happening — and you know that. Yet you continue to push the rhetoric. Why?

You said, “If we can save just one person it is worth it.” Well here are a few ideas that will save more that one individual:

First, forget all of your current initiatives and 23 purposed executive orders. They will do nothing more than impede law-abiding citizens and breach the intent of the Constitution. Each initiative steals freedom, grants more power to an already-overreaching government, and empowers and enables criminals to run amok.

Second, press Congress to repeal the “Gun Free Zone Act.” Don’t allow America’s teachers and students to be endangered one-day more. These parents and teachers have the natural right to defend themselves and not be looked at as criminals. There is no reason teachers must disarm themselves to perform their jobs. There is also no reason a parent or volunteer should be disarmed when they cross the school line.

This is your chance to correct history and restore liberty. This simple act of restoring freedom will deter would-be murderers and for those who try, they will be met with resistance.

Mr. President, do the right thing, restore freedom, and save lives. Show the American people that you stand with them and not with thugs and criminals.

Severely Concerned Citizen, Evan M. Todd

SECURITY VIDEO: Armed Iraq Vet Stops Wannabe Liquor Store Thief In His Tracks!

December 9, 2013 at 9:06 pm

Score one for ‘good guys with a gun’.

MARIONVILLE, MO (SPRINGFIELD NEWS LEADER) — [...] A veteran of four tours in Iraq. A 30-year military man. A former prison guard, private investigator, professional extraditor of federal prisoners and – perhaps most important on this particular Sunday night – a proud owner of a Walther PPX 9 mm handgun.

Loaded, with one in the chamber, like he always carries it.

Jon Lewis Alexander, 54, of Marionville, thwarted a robbery about 9 p.m. Sunday [Sept. 1, 2013] at Beer 30 on East Logan Street in Marionville – after the would-be robber pulled his weapon first.

As a store security video shows, Alexander used his left hand to push the robber’s handgun back while – in a smooth but rapid motion – pulling and swinging his 9 mm into the robber’s face. The man’s mouth, to be exact, as the robber haplessly holds his own weapon at his side.

The man came in the store smoking a cigarette, and Alexander said he quickly explained that was against the rules. Within seconds, the man in a gray T-shirt was at the counter, demanding “all the (expletive deleted) money.”

In less than three seconds, as Alexander threw out a couple of expletives of his own and threatened to “blow his (expletive deleted) head off,” the man is seen in the video backing away, his own firearm still at his side.

Texas: Mistrial Declared For Active Duty Army Sgt. At Center Of Gun Rights Debate

Followup to: Active Duty Soldier Illegally Disarmed & Arrested In Texas [Video Of Arrest] Trial Over, Jury Deliberating [Updated]
Post-trial interview with Army Master Sgt. Christopher Grisham:

A small victory, but a victory just the same.

(KWTX) –BELTON (October 18, 2013)—A mistrial was declared after jurors deadlocked Friday following two full days of deliberation in the trial of Army Master Sgt. Christopher “C.J.” Grisham of Temple, whose case has drawn the attention of gun-rights advocates nationwide.

Grisham expressed frustration Friday of having to go through the ordeal of a trial because of the “actions of an abusive police officer.”

He called the mistrial the closest thing to a not-guilty verdict.

Prosecutors didn’t immediately say whether they would retry him.

The six-member jury started deliberating the misdemeanor case Thursday morning after both sides rested Wednesday afternoon.

Grisham was arrested in March 2013 after police received a report about a man who was carrying an assault-style rifle while walking along Airport Road in West Temple.

Grisham told the responding officers he was just walking with his son to help him get a Boy Scout Badge, but police confiscated the rifle and arrested him after the encounter his son recorded on camera.

The video shot by Grisham’s son quickly went viral and the arrest triggered a series of demonstrations.

Grisham was charged with misdemeanor interference with the duties of an officer.

“I don’t think it’s fair that I’m even being charged with this crime,” Grisham said before the start of the trial Tuesday.

“The fact that I’m here in court for one I don’t think that’s very fair to begin with because my son and I weren’t doing anything wrong.”

“I think after the facts speak for themselves I’ll be set free,” he said.

“You can’t let the police make up the rules as they go,” said Keith Lee, a member of Open Carry Texas who showed up to support Grisham.

“Somebody has to stand up and say enough is enough.”

Let the civil suit begin.

This headline captures the entire ordeal in a nutshell: A legal battle caused by a rifle that didn’t fire a shot

Come and Take it March: Gun rally held in Temple – Hundreds of gun owners participate in the Come and Take it Temple march and rally Saturday (June 1,2013). The rally included a march around downtown Temple and guest speakers. The rally was held partly in response to the Temple Police Department arresting Christopher J. Grisham on March 16 as he was carrying a rifle.

When arresting officer Steve Ermis of the Temple Police Department approached Army Master Sgt Chris Grisham he asked why he was carrying a loaded gun, to which Grisham replied “Because I can”.

(BenSwannArchive ) –On March 16, 2013, my son and I were hiking along country roads among pastures and fields with my 15-year old son to help him earn his hiking merit badge. I always enjoy these father/son hikes because it gives me time alone with my son. As I always do when we go on these hikes and walks, I took my trusty rifle with me as there are coyotes, wild hogs, and cougars in our area. In Texas, it is legal to openly carry a rifle or shotgun as long as you do so in a manner that isn’t calculated to cause alarm. In other words, you can’t walk around waving your rifle at people. I always carry my rifle slung across my chest dangling, not holding it in my hands.

At about the 5 mile mark of our hike, a voice behind us asked us to stop and the officer motioned for us to approach him. He got out of his car and met us a few feet later. He asked us what we were doing and I explained that we were hiking for my son’s merit badge. He then asked me what I’m doing with the rifle, to which I responded in a calm manner, “Does it matter, officer? Am I breaking the law?”

At that point, the officer grabbed my rifle without warning or indication. He didn’t ask for my rifle and he didn’t suggest he would take it from me. He simply grabbed it. This startled me and I instantly pulled back – the rifle was attached to me – and I asked what he thought he was doing because he’s not taking my rifle. He then pulled his service pistol on me and told me to take my hands off the weapon and move to his car, which I complied with. He then slammed me into the hood of his car and I remembered I had a camera on me (one of the requirements of the hiking merit badge is to document your hikes). This video is the rest of that encounter. Up to this point, I am not told why I am being stopped, why he tried to disarm me, or even that I’m under arrest.

We did not set out that Saturday morning to “make a point” or cause problems. Our goal was to complete a 10-mile hike and return home without incident. My son chose a route that away from populated areas but near our home.

The arresting officer is Officer Steve Ermis and the supervisor is Sergeant Minnicks of the Temple Police Department.

“In an interesting twist, Deborah McKeon of the Telegram reported on Grisham’s story last month, shortly after he was arrested and wanted his guns back, said, “Grisham was arrested March 16, five days after Grisham urged the Temple City Council to declare that citizen rights to keep and bear arms will not be infringed upon.”

Coincidence? I think not.

Annnnnnd…..surprise, surprise…. County Prosecutor Ken Kalafut is a gun grabbing fascist Obama fan boy:

Bell County prosecutor Ken Kalafut, described by multiple sources as one of the few recognizable liberals in the heavily Republican area, took on the case.

“The prosecutor in that case [Kalafut] has a picture of President Obama behind him in his office, and he sits there and tells me, ‘I will make sure that gun does not fall into anyone else’s hands. I will have that gun destroyed,’” [Grisham’s attorney, Kurt] Glass said.

Kalafut declined to be interviewed for this story [SHOCKER!]. Private investigator Garcia told TheDC that Kalafut is “probably the bandleader” of gun-control efforts in the community.

The charges:

“My attorney received the incident reports and official charges from the DA today. The “resisting arrest” (class A misdemeanor) charge has disappeared and been replaced with “interference with public duties” (class B misdemeanor) charge. Neither charge is cause for taking my firearms and they still have not been returned. Now that we have official charges and incident reports, more information will be released this week. I am completely innocent of this and all charges and time will show that I did nothing wrong besides stand up for my rights as an American.”

Christopher’s case has since went to trial which is now over, as both sides rested Wednesday (Oct. 16, 2013) and the jury have begun their deliberations.

Update Oct. 18, 2013:
Temple: No Verdict Yet For Soldier At Center Of Gun Rights Debate

TEMPLE (October 17, 2013)–Jurors deliberated for almost eight hours Thursday without reaching a verdict in the trial of Army Master Sgt. Christopher “C.J.” Grisham of Temple.

They were dismissed and ordered to report to resume deliberations Friday morning [Oct. 18, 2013].

During deliberations Thursday, jurors asked to review video of the encounter that Grisham’s son shot and video from a dash-camera in a patrol unit.

The jury started deliberating the case Thursday morning.

Both sides rested Wednesday afternoon.

Marge Moore (L) says a man splashed an unknown liquid on her after pointing a gun at Toni Pendley (R). The two local women are part of the nationwide movement known as Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment.

Look alive patriots, violent left-wing extremist Obama thugs are crawling out of the woodwork….once again.

(WSB Radio) –A group of Gwinnett County women, who are part of a nationwide movement calling for President Barack Obama’s impeachment atop overpasses, were assaulted during their protest Saturday.

The women were holding signs on the overpass at Steve Reynolds Boulevard when they say a man pulled up beside them and pointed a gun at one and splashed another with an unknown liquid.

“I felt it on my foot… it burned, so I thought it was a household chemical,” Marge Moore tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish.

She says just moments earlier, a couple in a car had driven by and threatened to kill them.
“We’re going to come back out here,” says Pendley. “We’re not going to let him or anyone intimidate us.”They plan to hold another protest this coming Saturday at the same spot and are told gun owners with carry permits may join them this time.
