Early today[December 11, 2012], Clint Tarver, known as “The Hot Dog Guy” here in Lansing had his business attacked and destroyed by out of line and out of control protesters near the Capitol.

Everyone who has passed the hot dog cart knows what a kind and caring individual Clint is. He never fails to bestow a smile or friendly greeting. In no way [did] he provoke this attack, nor any of the behavior displayed toward him.

Update 2: The plot thickens!

The woman (Lorilea Susanne) who set up the fundraising page for Clint has spoken to his wife. Apparently Clint was hired to provide catering for the Americans For Prosperity tent which was also destroyed by union thugs.

*UPDATE* 11:40am – I have spoken with Linda Lee, Clint’s wife. She says he is absolutely overwhelmed with our support, even more so than by the events of yesterday. I would like to clarify the events, however. Clint hired as a caterer for the AFP tent which was torn down. He was much more concerned about the others, and particularly helped to get the women out of the tent. It was when he returned to gather his equipment that the taunts and racial slurs began. He says the working people did not respect the working man. He was not there to be political; he was just there to serve. This is the Clint we know and love. Please, let’s respect him and leave our political opinions out of this. This is about our support for Clint.

Romney’s Saturday started off well. He was the star of the Ingham County Lincoln Day breakfast, an eggs-and-coffee-and-county-commissioner-placards affair in the dining room of a Lansing, Mich., country club.

Before he spoke, Republicans heard “The Star-Spangled Banner” sung by the Old School Fellas, a zoot-suited amateur doo-wop group. “Mitt’s a good, Christian man like I am,” explained Clinton Tarver, wearing the reddest of the zoot suits.

Update 7:  Lee Stranahan’s in person interview with Clint The Hot Dog Guy. Topic:  The union mob racist attack and the the attack on the AFP tent in Lansing. At first Clint was caught in the crossfire then the vicious union mob turned their racist anger towards him. He was working for the enemy –Americans For Prosperity. Thus deserving of their wrath.

Good Lord. Of course, they have no sense of shame, but are they also completely lacking a sense of irony? I mean, the Left has spent nearly four years building their “Tea Party is racist” meme, and the AFL-CIO brutes — who were nearly all white, as Stranahan reports and video verifies — decide they’ll just waste all that liberal media propaganda in order to terrorize a guy whose only “crime” is serving hot dogs?

(CNN) – The Republican National Committee said Friday it raised $37.7 million in July, making last month the best July in the party committee’s history.

At the end of July, the RNC said it had $88.7 million cash on hand. They said July’s numbers brought their yearly total to $158 million.

Mitt Romney, along with the RNC and several state parties, raised $101.3 million in July, and ended the month with $185.9 million cash on hand. That was the third straight month the Republican effort outraised President Barack Obama and the Democrats, who brought in $75 million in July.

Obama was a fundraising heavy hitter in 2008, as you can see by this chart. He raised a record-breaking $745 million throughout his presidential campaign.

But this time ’round, Obama’s smarmy charm alone is not enough to compete. He is used goods. Buyers remorse is in the air.

BTW Obama has brazenly lied about being “outspent” in 2008.

His back is up against the wall, and he knows it.

For the third month in a row, Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney’s campaign outraised the re-election effort of President Barack Obama, scooping up $101.3 million, while the president pulled in more than $75 million .

That would be the months of May, June and July. Obama runs his campaign like he runs the country, spend, spend, spend –with failed results.

The fund-raising totals, announced by the campaigns Monday morning, underscore an ominous trend for Obama, who has been burning through cash in his effort to hold on to the White House.

At the end of last month, Obama’s campaign sent out increasingly urgent e-mail missives asking supporters to contribute.

The Romney campaign, the RNC and their affiliated fund-raising committees ended the month with nearly $186 million on hand.

The Obama campaign declined to release its cash on hand figures, which will be made public when campaign finance reports are filed to the Federal Election Commission on Aug. 20.

Obama’s sleazy money grubbing fundraising ploy the ‘Event Registry‘ is going over like a lead balloon with brides. Who would of thunk it? Apparently not the brain trust Obama campaign. Heh.

(New York Post) –President Obama’s bizarre marriage-theme fund-raising scheme — where he asks couples to request campaign donations from their guests in lieu of wedding gifts — has been a total flop.

So far, “the Event Registry” has been all but ignored on social-media sites — even though Facebook, Twitter and other networks have been a strong suit for the Obama campaign.

“The number of links and stories about the announcement is very low since the news went live on June 22,” said Meredith Klee, a spokeswoman for the social-media tracking firm Topsy.

Her site’s latest data show 1,137 posts on Twitter about the registry.

And only a few hundred links to the registry have been shared on Facebook — even though Obama has more than 27 million fans on the site, according to Topsy.

But wedding industry pros called the ploy tasteless and divisive.

“This is absurd. Republican or Democrat, you shouldn’t bring politics into a wedding,” said Kristin Koch, a senior editor with weddingchannel.com. “We found that nearly everyone found this to be a bad idea.”

Brides-to-be commenting on her site’s message board called the initiative “gross!” and “tacky” — with one writing, “Hell no!”

“Politics and my personal celebrations should not be mixed,” another bride wrote.

(Fox) –President Obama, the most prolific fundraiser in U.S. presidential campaign history, returned Saturday to a fundraising strategy that increasingly appears more like tin cup rattling.

Since losing the monthly fundraising battle for the first time in May to Mitt Romney, the president appears to have changed his fundraising strategy to suggest he’s just trying to keep pace.

“We might not out raise Mitt Romney,” the president said Saturday in an email to supporters. “But I am determined to keep the margin close enough that we can win this election the right way.”

Earlier this week, Obama sent an email to supporters that started, “I will be outspent.”

“I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his re-election campaign, if things continue as they have so far,” the fundraising letter continued. >>>

Waaaaaaaa! Your mistake was running for a second term.  This isn’t 2008 where you are swooping in under a cloak of secrecy and false bravado. Your Teflon coating is peeling off. No longer the pied piper figure that you once were playing a hypnotizing tune of hope and change. The emperor has…no…clothes.

Moving along, let’s take a peek at the fundraising totals for both candidates as of May 31, 2012. Obama had the edge over Romney on both fundraising totals and debt owed. His dramatic beggary is a mere month after these totals were calculated. Nerves kicking in?

It will be interesting to see the totals as the election grows closer. The recent SCOTUS ObamaCare decision gave Romney a 24 hour windfall of 4.2 million, after he had pledged to repeal the massive Obama power grab, that is rife with a vast array of taxes.
