There may be hope for California after all.
Jacob Williams, opinion editor of Bear Creek’s newspaper, The Bruin Voice, wrote in prepared remarks that he is furious at the policy.
Williams’ newspaper in May quoted the executive director of the Student Press Law Center, who called the contract “outlandishly illegal” and said many segments are unconstitutional. The Vermont-based center advises student journalists on their First Amendment rights.

The criteria is far to broad, making district administrators a veritable cadre of thought police. Just say no.

(Telegraph) –He may be worth $20 billion, but when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg took his new wife to lunch during their secret honeymoon in Rome he spent just 32 euros (£26) – and did not leave a tip.
Their bill came to just 32 euros after a lunch consisting of deep-fried artichokes – a Roman Jewish speciality – fried pumpkin flowers and ravioli stuffed with sea bass and artichokes.
Instead of wine or beer they opted for a bottle of water and a pot of tea.
It was not a case of not enjoying the meal, said the owner of the restaurant.
“I asked him ‘how was it?’ and he said ‘very good’”, the owner, identified only as Umberto, told Corriere della Sera newspaper. “I had gone up to him and said ‘Are you …?’ and he said ‘Yes’.”
It was not the first time that the multi-billionaire chose not to tip – he reportedly did the same thing the night before at Pierluigi, a historic trattoria near Campo de’ Fiori, a pizza in the heart of Rome. [...]
What a monumental ass.
May the God smack cometh.

Islamic Toonophobia rises again!
That would be the Mark Zukerberg, founder of Facebook and Jyllands-Posten editor Fleming Rose, who was the first westerner to publish the infamous Mo Toons.
(FAISALABAD, PAKISTAN) — A case for the arrest of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Cultural Editor of Danish Newspaper Fleming Rose, for allowing ‘blasphemous’ caricatures of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), was registered at the Kotwali Police Station in Jhang.
The case, FIR no 134/12, was registered after Advocate Muhammad Zahid Saeed, stirred by websites allegedly demeaning the Prophet (pbuh), filed a petition before the District Session Judge seeking a ban on websites including Facebook, YouTube, Google and others.
…. a case was registered under Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PCC) which deals with blasphemy.
Islamic sharia law against blasphemy ONLY applies to Muslims camel breath.
Maintaining that the sentiments of the whole Muslim community were hurt, Saeed filed the petition under Section 22-A, 22-B of the Criminal Procedure of Code (CPC).
In his petition, Saeed said that on visiting some websites while on the internet, he and his companion found caricatures of the Prophet (pbuh) published which, he alleged, were “trying to create a war between Muslims and non-Muslimsâ€.
Never mind the war against non-Muslims that has been waged for CENTURIES, and continues to this day, well before any harmless Mo Toons hit the scene.
He added that the caricatures were a form of “international terrorism and evil professionâ€.
And inherently VIOLENT Islam is positively overflowing with sweetness and light, dontcha know…
Session Judge Arshad Masood responded to the petition by saying that the “deliberate and malicious act†of displaying derogatory caricatures is a “continuing offence†and a case must be registered in Pakistan and anywhere else in the world where the sentiments of Muslims were hurt.
My response, this disturbing photo of Nigerian Christians burnt to death in the name of Allah:
(More recent examples of persecution can be found here.)
Younus [the investigator], while talking to The Express Tribune, said that after collecting the evidence and recording the statements of the petitioner and other witnesses, he would proceed for the arrest of the accused.
The petitioner had maintained that the proceedings against the accused should be served through the Danish Ambassador and US Ambassador in Pakistan.
This is a prime example of what Obama should take the time to publicly denounce. Not fill his time by dispatching a Pentagon official to a Virginia mosque with orders to bow and scrape to allah fubar, while simultaneously spitting on America.
A senior Pentagon official apologized Friday to Washington-area Muslims for the burning of Qurans at a military base in Afghanistan.
Peter Lavoy, acting assistant secretary of defense for Asia and Pacific security affairs, said the military is investigating what occurred and that all 140,000 coalition troops in Afghanistan are being retrained in the handling of religious materials.
[Coalition troops are being retrained to respect Islamic text (jihad manuals) --BOW to the enemy]
Lavoy apologized multiple times during a brief speech during prayer services at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, one of the largest mosques in the country.
“I come here today to apologize on behalf of the Department of Defense for the incident that took place in Afghanistan this week,” Lavoy told worshippers, saying the burnings were done “unknowingly and improperly.”
Fleming Rose has spoken out stating, that in no uncertain terms will he ever bow.
Has Jyllands-Posten insulted and disrespected Islam? It certainly didn’t intend to. But what does respect mean? When I visit a mosque, I show my respect by taking off my shoes. I follow the customs, just as I do in a church, synagogue or other holy place. But if a believer demands that I, as a nonbeliever, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect, but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy.

#WeinerGate Take 7: Weiner Planned To Meet Sexting Friend in Vegas –Told Porn Star to Lie, Offered PR Help [Update 2: Weiner's "Cyber Mistress" Lisa Weiss Sent Tweet Tip to Maddow On June 3 "Juicy Political Story"]
A congressman, a porn star, a black jack dealer, infidelity, lies, and ethics violations. This scandal is going to make a juicy movie one day…
Weiner initially had planned a trip to Vegas to visit Lisa Weiss the Vegas Blackjack dealer:
(NY Post) Just when you didn’t think it could get worse, new X-rated text messages were made public today where Rep. Anthony Weiner got down and dirty with one of the women he had befriended on Facebook — even telling her that he was prepared to travel to Nevada to bed her.
In a series of messages dating back to Sept. 17, 2010, Weiner wrote to 40-year-old Lisa Weiss — a Nevada blackjack dealer who went back and forth with Weiner on Facebook for more than a year — that he was interested in meeting her.
“i’m ready for a vegas trip. truth telling during the day. got a night plan for us?” Weiner wrote, according to a transcript of 220 messages posted on *RadarOnline.com. >>>
*NSFW –A word of warning the Weiner Weis Facebook transcript obtained by Radar Online contains extremely graphic sexual content.
Weiner coached Ginger Lee the porn star to lie, gave her a statement to give the press:
(TMZ) Weiner and former porn star Ginger Lee exchanged scores of sexual emails over a long period of time. When the underwear scandal broke on May 28, Lee began receiving calls from the media, and Weiner was more than happy to help her control the situation … by lying.
On June 2, Weiner emailed Lee, “Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh].”
Weiner put on a full court press, urging Lee to lie about their relationship. On June 1, he emailed her: “The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it. Have a couple of iterations of: ‘This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don’t know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm saying thank you for the follow. That’s it.’”
On June 2, Weiner sent Lee a proposed statement she could give to the press: >>>
Update: “Erections Have Consequences”
A few days into the WeinertGate scandal, day three or four I believe a commentator on Fox stated that if the N Y Post drops the story it will blow right over. Well a lot has happened since then and now today the N Y Post is calling for him to resign.
“My constituents have to make the determination,” he said.
Which is technically true.
But if Tony Weiner had a shred of personal honor, he’d relieve them of that responsibility.
He won’t, because he is devoid of honor. That was made clear by his weeklong campaign of lies and character assassination meant to deceive his wife of less than a year, his staff, his constituents and the general public — and to vilify Andrew Breitbart, the online journalist who first disclosed the salacious photos and messages.
Breitbart has made mistakes. But he’s scored important scoops, too.
Including this one.
Bottom line: Anthony Weiner betrayed his office and his constituents along with his wife. He has lost whatever respect — and effectiveness — he ever enjoyed as a member of Congress.
Now he’s fit only for cable-TV comedy punch lines, and it’s going to get worse.
He needs to resign.
Update 2: On June 2 Lisa Weiss shopped her story to Rachel Maddow via Twitter
The Las Vegas woman who seduced Rep. Anthony Weiner and carried on a torrid nine month cyber sex relationship tried to expose him on a show where he was a regular guest — MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show!
Before approaching RadarOnline.com and Star magazine with a transcript of her sexting exchanges, Lisa Weiss told us that she had contacted noted liberal political analyst and television host Rachel Maddow.
“Anthony was a regular guest on Rachel’s show and I love her, so much, and her views, so I reached out to her,” the blackjack dealer told RadarOnline.com.
“But I never heard back.”
Two days before on June 1 according to the Facebook sexting transcript acquired by Radar Online Weis to Weiner: “U owe me big time for keeping this quiet”. Someone should ask Lisa what exactly she meant by “U owe me big time”.
May 31st 2011
omg! are u okay? so sorry u got hacked…i know u would never do anything like have fb se

June 1st 2011
u owe me big time for keeping this all quiet…i am defending u to the death on every blog a to everyone….telling everyone u would never send dirty messages to women
i know u haven’t been on here since u were hacked but i NEED to talk to u…someone
contacted me about u…call me or something.
The above text is the last communication between the two of them, contained within the transcripts.
Theory: Weiss grew impatient when she did not hear back from Weiner and decided to go to Plan B. Heh. If so, not to bright that one, to have went to Maddow of all people.
And as a matter of fact the Weiss Maddow tweet is the last tweet Lisa Weiss had made (at the time of this update). She has been quiet on Twitter since. As you can see here.
Illegal Alien Protest Supporter “Time to break out the same means it took in Egypt, random hits…. rocks… molotovs.” [Updated]
Joel Griffith over at Big Government posted on a Henry Martinez’ Facebook “call for violence” earlier today. So I thought I would have a look for myself. I was not able to find the exact posting reflected in Joel’s screenshot, it may of been deleted considering the violent content. Or I might of overlooked it… shrug. None the less, Henry repeated his violent incitement. And I can only assume his words are targeting the police and/or opponents of the ’cause’.
This is a screenshot of Henry’s thread on it’s stand alone page:.
Here is the text to which I have included his photo taken from his Facebook profile:
random hits…. rocks… molotovs.. worked for Egypt.
Here is a screenshot of the ImmigrantYouth JusticeLeague‘s event page: “Coming Out of the Shadows: Undocumented, Unafraid, Unapologetic” with Henry’s violent rhetoric front and center, it has since been buried by other postings:
(Note the Red China communist propaganda influenced poster. Just precious.)
As Joel pointed out, “Call to violence goes unchallenged by rally attendees”
Not one of his fellow comrades denounce his violent words. Not a single one.
I sent a link to this post to the event organizers “Immigrant Youth Justice League” (@IYJL) on Twitter.
@velvethammer Illegal Alien @IYJL Protest Supporter “Time 2 break out same means it took in #Egypt random hits rocks molotovs (Link)
@IYJL @velvethammer Really? That’s someone that comment on the event. Not a member of the org. Take a chill pill. (Link)
I made no mention of Henry Martinez being a “member of the org.”
And as you can see he/she failed to denounce the incitement. It is ok by them that rocks and molotovs are thrown at security personal, police, opponents etc as long as they are not being thrown by members of the event organization?? If their intention was to stage a non-violent protest you would think they would of called out the instigator immediately and with out any prodding. Divorcing themselves completely from the violent rhetoric would be the admirable stance to take. The fact that they haven’t speaks volumes.
