A group of students at a California high school basketball game were told to remove patriotic bandanas and stop chanting “USA, USA” because school administrators wanted to be sensitive to other spectators.

The incident occurred during a basketball last week between Camarillo High School and Rio Mesa High School in Ventura County.

A school administrator pulled aside four boys and told them to either remove their American flag bandanas or leave the game. The boys complied but returned to lead the crowd in a chant of “USA, USA.”

Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman told the Ventura County Star that the students were told to remove the bandanas as a “precaution” – because the two schools have “diverse student bodies.”

Both schools have a large Hispanic student population.

Student Austin Medeiros and the other boys were suspended for their actions – but the punishment was later lifted by school officials.

Still, students are upset over what happened and staged a protest at the school’s flagpole by wearing red, white and blue.

“We’ve done it always,” Medeiros told the Ventura County Star. “It’s something we do. It’s the same group of friends. We’re all very patriotic.”

ICE agent Chris Crane is President of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council, the union representing America’s more than 7,000 ICE agents and personnel. Border Patrol agent George McCubbin, III is President of the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing America’s more than 17,000 border agents and personnel.

Obama always ends his remarks with God Bless America –words just words. He says them because he thinks that he is expected to. Not because he means them.

A small victory, but a victory just the same.

(WSJ) –The Supreme Court upheld a key part of Arizona’s tough-immigration law but struck down others as intrusions on federal sovereignty, in a ruling that gave both sides something to cheer in advance of November elections where immigration is a major issue.

The court backed a section of the Arizona state law that calls for police to check the immigration status of people they stop.

That section was one of four at issue before the high court. The others make it a crime for immigrants without work permits to seek employment; make it a crime for immigrants to fail to carry registration documents, and authorize the police to arrest any immigrant they believe has committed a deportable offense. Those other three provisions were struck down.

Five justices were in the majority choosing to strike down the three provisions. Dissenting justices argued that the whole law should have been upheld.

But the fact of the matter is there are laws on the books that I have to enforce. And I think there’s been a great disservice done to the cause of getting the DREAM Act passed and getting comprehensive immigration passed by perpetrating the notion that somehow, by myself, I can go and do these things. Now, what we can do is to prioritize enforcement, since there are limited enforcement resources, and say we’re not going to go chasing after this young man or anybody else who’s been acting responsibly and would otherwise qualify for legal status if the DREAM Act passed.

But we live in a democracy. You have to pass bills through the legislature, and then I can sign it. And if all the attention is focused away from the legislative process, then that is going to lead to a constant dead-end. We have to recognize how the system works, and then apply pressure to those places where votes can be gotten and, ultimately, we can get this thing solved. And nobody will be a stronger advocate for making that happen than me.

This is yet another example of executive branch overreach. We have a legislative process that ensures representative governance by the consent of the American people. This action should be crafted into legislation, debated in committee and brought before the House and Senate for vote, with accordance of our Constitutional Republic way. Secretary Napolitano is an unelected administrative bureaucrat who does not have the right to make governing decisions for this country. It is apparent that the goal of the Obama administration is not to govern, but rule by edict. This again is a reflection of the desperation of President Obama and his liberal progressive disciples as November draws nearer. I find it ironic that Secretary Napolitano would not assist our State of Florida with ensuring the integrity of the voting process but she can make a unilateral decision about who can reside in America.

With all due respect to Congressman West, I’d say it’s more systematic than ironic.

Throughout all their whining and crying over lack of ‘immigration reform’, Obama and the (left-wing) illegal alien amnesty cabal forget this significant detail, regarding the failure of the DREAM Act:

There’s one problem: we have a legislative body that passes laws, not a president or a king.  The Senate defeated the DREAM Act in 2009, even though Democrats had a supermajority.

What happened to the Constitution?

This administration is setting a dangerous precedent.

Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over immigration law.  They should hold public hearings and shed some light on the darkest corners of this administrative power grab.  Moreover, they must refuse funding for any program that grants administrative amnesty.

He’s done it again. After enacting a virtual amnesty-by-decree for 300,000 illegal aliens last August, Obama is once again showing his total contempt for the rule of law by announcing a new amnesty and work permits for up to 1 million illegal aliens – effective immediately.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced that effective immediately, people who were brought to the United States before the age of 16 and meet certain criteria will be considered for relief from removal from the country or from entering into removal proceedings. Those eligible will receive deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal, and will be eligible to apply for work authorization.…..

And Obama finally produces a jobs program – but for ILLEGAL ALIENS – as a million illegals will be added to a workforce to compete with Americans workers already suffering through a record length of recession unemployment.

We need to see the fine print of this order, but if it is similar to the DREAM Act, we should expect an immediate increase in border crossings and massive new fraud as ineligible illegals and foreign nationals scramble to get in on the amnesty order – just as occurred in 1986. That is because – as SWA noted in its objection – the DREAM Act would have permitted ANY illegal alien to apply for the amnesty, even if they were well outside the bounds of its terms, and they would be granted an automatic stay of deportation pending “investigation” – which could be extended indefinitely by the DHS Secretary.

If this order matches those terms of the DREAM Act, then we may well be looking at a MAJOR amnesty of more than 2 million ADDITIONAL illegals, due to document fraud, new border crossings, and fraudulent applications.
