(Ynet) British Prime Minister David Cameron said the brutal killing of a soldier who was hacked to death in London by two men shouting Jihadist slogans was a betrayal of Islam.

“We will never give in to terror or terrorism in any of its forms,” Cameron told reporters outside his Downing Street residence on Thursday.

The other man may also be British with a Nigerian background, the source told Reuters. British media has identified one of the men as Michael Adebolajo, citing police sources.

The suggestions included: killing France’s ambassadors, just as the “manly” Libyan fighters killed the U.S. ambassador in Benghazi; carrying out operations similar to 9/11, London’s July 7, 2005 bombings, and Madrid’s March 11, 2004 bombings, because only attacks of this kind would deter and defeat the “crusaders”; carrying out assassinations; conducting suicide bombings outside the French Information Ministry building; and holding demonstrations outside French embassies, especially in Egypt, because it has [allegedly] been proven that the Egyptian public can sway the entire Arab public.

It was also suggested that Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) kill the hostages it is holding, and that anyone who can kill a French national do so without hesitation.

PARIS (AFP)— A French magazine, which sparked international protests and saw its offices firebombed after it printed cartoons mocking Mohammed, on Wednesday published a “halal” cartoon biography of Islam’s founder.

The editor of Charlie Hebdo weekly insists that “The Life of Mohammed”, whose cover shows a goofy-looking prophet leading a camel through the desert, is an educational work prepared by a Franco-Tunisian sociologist.
“It is a biography authorised by Islam since it was edited by Muslims,” said Stephane Charbonnier, who was also the illustrator of the book which comes complete with academic footnotes.

“I don’t think higher Muslim minds could find anything inappropriate,” said Charbonnier, whose magazine has repeatedly enraged some Muslims with satirical depictions of the prophet, including showing him naked.

He said the idea for the comic book came to him in 2006 when a newspaper in Denmark published cartoons of Mohammed, later republished by Charlie Hebdo, that sparked angry protests across the Muslim world.

In September Charlie Hebdo published cartoons of a naked Mohammed as violent protests were taking place in several countries over a low-budget film, titled “Innocence of Muslims”, which was made in the United States and insulted the prophet.

French schools, consulates and cultural centres in 20 Muslim countries were briefly closed along with embassies for fear of retaliatory attacks.

In 2011 Charlie Hebdo’s offices were hit by a firebomb and its website pirated after publishing an edition titled “Charia Hebdo” featuring several Mohammed cartoons.

Charbonnier, who has received death threats, lives under police protection.

Support Hobby Lobby Against Government Tyranny

(FreedomWorks) –When a government oversteps its limitations, citizens will sometimes grumble or gripe. When it’s the American government overstepping the bounds of the Constitution, Americans band together and take it a little more seriously.

When local governments tried to stomp on Chick-Fil-A’s right to free speech, a grassroots movement organized a day to support them. Americans swarmed to the restaurants on  Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, shattering sales records. A similar event was planned to support Papa John’s Pizza after owner John Schattner was realistic about the ramifications of Obamacare. Now, the government is treading on the religious beliefs, and ultimately the first amendment rights of business owners, and Americans are poised to step up to the plate again.

As Christians, the Green family who own Hobby Lobby are unable to provide the morning-after pill as part of their healthcare coverage without violating their religious beliefs. As that coverage is required under Obamacare, this conflict has set off a legal battle that still rages on. In order to comply with their religious beliefs, the Greens could be out up to $1.3 million per day in fines. That would be more than $40 million this month alone.

Fortunately, the American people have their backs. This Saturday, January 5th, has been appointed as the day to support Hobby Lobby with our wallets. It is getting costly to take a stand against the overreaching government, however, we can pitch in to show our support to business owners who are willing to do so and to show the government that these businesses do not stand alone. Our Constitution must be defended.

Update: Tens of thousands pledge to participate

(LifeNews) –Tens of thousands of Americans have committed to support the Christian crafts store Hobby Lobby on January 5 after courts have refused to issued an ruling stopping the Obama HHS mandate.

Hobby Lobby will incur $1.3 million in fines each day from the Obama administration for not following the mandate, which forces companies to play for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions for their employees. To support the company, one supporter has launched a new effort, that has quickly gone viral, to patronize the business.

Organizer Joe Grabowski told LifeNews: “Inspired by the “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” promoted this past August by Governor Mike Huckabee, a similar grassroots initiative has cropped up in the past few days at www.StandWithHobbyLobby.com. The Facebook-driven campaign has already collected more than 18,000 people who have pledged to shop at the store on Saturday.”

“On Saturday, January 5th, all Americans who value freedom of religion and oppose the HHS Mandate’s unfair impositions upon religious individuals and corporate entities are called upon to show their support for Hobby Lobby by shopping either at their local retail Hobby Lobby store or online,” he said. Imran Firasat faces criminal charges and deportation from Spain. He is a Pakistani ex-Muslim who was welcomed into Spain for protection from Islamic violence. As a result of his speaking out against Islam and revealing the violent nature of the religion, his co-producing with Stand Up America Now of the film called The Innocent Prophet, and because he converted from Islam to Christianity, he faces certain death if Spain sends him back to Pakistan. This is again a result of Western Society bowing to the fear and intimidation of Islam and shows the very nature of Islam.

Spain is citing Penal Code 510 as a reason to prosecute Imran. This Code refers to inciting or provoking hatred or violence, which Imran has not done. Spain’s Ministry of Foreign affairs has threatened to revoke Imran’s asylum status, stating that his youtube, The Innocent Prophet, is “destabilizing” because of the “extreme indignation and sensitivity” of the world’s Muslims.

These unjust threats by the Spanish Government show the very importance of our standing up against a brutal totalitarian system of religion and government called Sharia. Under Sharia, apostates and those who are seen to insult Islam deserve death. Let us act now, before our Western society becomes a victim of the very violence of Islam that we are attempting to fight.

Dear friends

Yesterday I found the news in media about high terror alert in Belgium over the movie “The Innocent Prophet” which I planned to release on 14th December 2012.

Behind making this movie my soul objective was to reveal the other side of reality of Muhammad and Islam, which I think, is a noble cause for the humanity and is also my right of freedom of expression. But I never had intentions to incite violence or offend religious sentiments deliberately. I don’t want people to have fear in their hearts or governments to apply high terror alert in their countries because of me. I don´t want to be remembered as a man who is responsible for loss of lives and properties.

That is why I have decided to postpone temporarily the release of movie until I show it first to the authorities and get the assurance that there is nothing in this movie which doesn´t fall under the right of freedom of expression and that my movie will not cause any kind of loss to humanity. The necessary modification will be also made if requested by the authorities.

But the delay doesn´t mean that I am afraid of Islamic violence, neither have I lost my right of freedom of expression. It´s all about the respect which I have in my heart towards Europe which is my family, and my deep love for Spain which is my home. I apologize to the Belgian people for the inconvenience they are facing because of my movie plan. I assure them that I will never do anything which hurt them.

But on the other hand they should also understand that if we lose our right of freedom of expression, we lose our democracy and western values.

I will always stand firmly with my opinion that Islam is an extreme danger to the society and we should make aware people about its whole reality, but of course not on the price of human lives. Islamist triumphalism  –access denied!

(London Evening Standard) –A Muslim group behind a proposed east London mega-mosque today [Dec. 6, 2012] vowed to seek a judicial review after councillors rejected the scheme, saying it was “too big” and would not serve the needs of the local community.

Hardline sect Tablighi Jamaat purchased the 17-acre brownfield site in Abbey Mills, Newham, in 1996 and has been trying to build a mosque there for more than a decade, despite opposition from residents and campaign groups.

The current plan is for a 9,000-capacity Islamic centre with prayer hall, and dining facilities for 2,000. It would have 40ft minarets and four times the capacity of St Paul’s, equal to the UK’s biggest mosque, the Baitul Futuh in Morden.

It would host a sports pavilion, tennis courts and residential units. Last night, as thousands of Muslims gathered outside Stratford Town Hall to voice their support, Newham councillors turned down the planning application, saying it did not fit with their vision of bringing housing and jobs to the area.

Conor McAuley, Newham’s executive member for regeneration and strategic planning, said: “The scheme was too large, there was not sufficient parking, it would have an impact on historic buildings nearby, and it failed to serve the needs of the community. Our policies promote the development of the Abbey Mills site for a mix of residential, employment and community uses, to help create a new local centre near West Ham station and regenerate the area.”

Turning tide…

(Ottawa Citizen) –In these days of draconian political correctness, neurotic anti-hate speech laws and dictatorial human rights police, I have sometimes fretted that the western tradition of free speech is in jeopardy.

No doubt it is, in some quarters at least. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wants “Islamophobia” declared as “a crime against humanity” and “international legal regulations against attacks on what people deem sacred.”

Likewise, the Arab League has called for the development of an international legal framework to criminalize blasphemy. Ditto the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a bloc of 57 Muslim countries, which wants Western countries to make it an international crime to criticize Islam or Mohammed – all on the name of “religious tolerance.” (Naturally, there’s no mention of not insulting — or persecuting — Christians and Jews.)

Of course, all this is to be expected from the Muslim world, which insists that only Muslims get to define what constitutes an insult — which is  an insult to intelligence.

Unfortunately, there are too many western politicians so frightened of appearing intolerant — and of losing Muslim votes, I suppose — that they kowtow to these kind of asinine dictates.

Not all, though, I’m happy to report. At least some European politicians possess sufficient backbone to stand up for Enlightenment traditions.

This week the Dutch parliament revoked a decade-old blasphemy law from its statute book. Insulting Allah (or God or Yahweh or Buddha or Vishnu, I presume) will no longer be a crime in the Netherlands.

The Dutch politician who can take some credit for this reinforcement of the liberal tradition of free speech is Geert Wilders.

(American Freedom Law Center) –Yesterday, Federal Judge Stephen J. Murphy III, sitting in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, issued an order, granting the American Freedom Law Center’s (AFLC) request to file a second amended complaint in its civil rights lawsuit brought on behalf of four Christian missionaries who were unlawfully arrested for preaching the Gospel to Muslims at the 2010 Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan. The order permits AFLC, a nonprofit Judeo-Christian law firm representing the Christians, to amend its lawsuit to name as an additional defendant the American Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC), which is the organization responsible for the conduct of the Dearborn Arab Festival, an event where the police and festival workers have historically discriminated against Christians.

On June 18, 2010, four Christian missionaries, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, and Negeen Mayel, were thrown in jail by Dearborn police officers for peacefully preaching to Muslims at that year’s annual Arab festival. The City charged the Christians with “breach of the peace” and ordered them to stand trial. In September 2010, Robert Muise, AFLC Co-Founder and Senior Counsel, represented the Christians during a five-day criminal trial. At the end of the trial, the Christians were acquitted by a unanimous jury verdict.

Following the acquittals, Yerushalmi and Muise drafted and filed a civil rights lawsuit against the City of Dearborn, its mayor, John B. O’Reilly, its chief of police, Ronald Haddad, 17 City police officers, and two executives from the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, which is now a defendant.  The lawsuit alleges that the Christians’ constitutional rights were egregiously violated during the Arab festival.  The case is in the discovery stage, and a jury trial is currently scheduled for next August
