(Washington Examiner) Retired Baltimore Ravens center Matt Birk, who won a Super Bowl with the team last year, skipped the team’s visit to the White House due to President Obama’s support for Planned Parenthood.
“I have great respect for the office of the presidency but about five or six weeks ago, our president made a comment in a speech and he said, ‘God bless Planned Parenthood,’” Birk, a former Minnesota Viking, told a local Minnesota sports blog. “I’m very confused by [Obama's] statement,” he explained. “For God to bless a place where they’re ending 330,000 lives a year? I just chose not to attend.”
Kirk said he’s a pro-life Roman Catholic. “Planned Parenthood performs about 330,000 abortions a year,” he said. “I couldn’t endorse that in any way.”

Bronx, New York – A new undercover video released by a prominent pro-life organization shows an abortion worker explaining how a baby that is born alive after a failed abortion procedure would be placed into a jar of solution to be killed.
Live Action, which has conducted undercover investigations on the abortion industry for nearly two decades, uploaded footage on Sunday of a 23-week pregnant woman asking a staff member at Women’s Health Center in Bronx, New York about how her abortion procedure would be carried out.
“Is it pretty big?” the woman asks, wearing a spy camera. “Do you know how big it is?”
“It’s six months,” the employee answers. “It’s fully grown.”
“So, it has all the part and stuff, you think?” the woman inquires.
“Yeah,” the staff member answers.
The woman then questions the worker about how the baby is removed, and if he or she comes out in one piece during the procedure.
“They start falling apart,” the employee answers, explaining that the baby will be ripped out of the womb by a suction device.
“I don’t know why you want to know all this. Just do it!” she adds, laughing. [...]

Arlington, VA: Live Action today released an undercover video of an abortion counselor at a clinic in the Bronx, NY, describing, with gruesome details, what is done with a baby who survives an abortion attempt. This is the first in a series of undercover videos, found at www.liveaction.org/inhuman, involving a number of late-term abortion clinics engaging in illegal and inhuman practices, as well as explaining in explicit detail what happens to the victims of late-term abortion.
“Dr. Kermit Gosnell is not alone,” said Lila Rose, Founder and President of Live Action. “The gruesome and inhuman practices exposed in Gosnell’s ‘House of Horrors’ are business as usual for the abortion industry in America. These children’s lives are brutally destroyed when they are the most defenseless. This isn’t ‘choice’; this is murder.”
The Bronx, NY abortion counselor is caught on tape describing, in gruesomely precise terms, how late-term abortions happen.
She details what is done with a baby after the abortion and advises to “flush” the baby down the toilet if he or she is delivered at home before the final stage of the two- or three-day abortion procedure.
“If it comes out, then it comes out. Flush it. … if anything, you know, put it in a bag or something or somewhere and bring it to us.”
When Live Action’s undercover investigator asks what happens to the baby after the abortion – or what the clinic would do if, after the abortion, the baby is moving – the counselor says:
“If it did come out in one piece, it’s very small. So they would still have to put it in a container – like, a jar – with solution and send it to the lab.”
When asked what happens if the baby after the abortion is breathing or twitching, the Bronx counselor responds:
“The solution will make it stop. It’s not going to be moving around in the jar … that’s the whole purpose of the solution.”
“It’ll automatically stop. It won’t be able to…not with the solution.”
Rose is calling on NY state government and health officials and U.S. prosecutors to investigate the Bronx clinic and conduct a statewide investigation into other clinics that perform late-term abortions.
From the letter to Health Commissioner Shah: “[W]e have reason to believe that abortionists and staff at the Dr. Emily Woman’s Health Center are operating under conditions that endanger women and children to the point of disease and even death. We therefore urge you to immediately revoke the license of this clinic. ”
“These abortion clinics are abusing human life in unimaginable ways,” Rose said, “but our society has become so numb to what is going on behind their doors. Babies born alive from a failed abortion should not be put in a jar of toxic solution, or flushed down a toilet. How could anyone condone this kind of inhuman and brutal treatment of a helpless, innocent child?”
MAKE NO MISTAKE. If they are willing to snuff out the life of an innocent newborn child without remorse on the basis of inconvenience, as if they were simply tossing out yesterday’s garbage, they are capable of ANYTHING.
President Obama made a promise to Planned Parenthood they expect him to keep.
“The first thing I’d do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing I’d do.”
The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would eliminate every restriction on abortion nationwide.
FOCA will do away with state laws on parental involvement, on partial birth abortion, and on all other protections.
FOCA will compel taxpayer funding of abortions.
FOCA will force faith-based hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform abortions.
Barack Obama believes this legislation will “end the culture wars.” To him, “ending the culture wars” means eradicating every state and federal law on abortion — laws that the majority of Americans support.
Progressives shed tears for anchor babies and GITMO detainees, but when it comes to the sanctity of human life; a baby in a mother’s womb, they are stone cold, soulless creatures.

In a 1999 legislative vote, then-Illinois State Senator Barack Obama was the sole state senator to not vote for for a bill that would protect sexual assault victims from having the details of their cases revealed publicly.
On May 11 of that year, Obama voted “present” on a bill, ultimately made law, that allows victims of sex crimes to request that their cases be sealed from public view following a criminal conviction. Illinois Senate voting records show that Obama was the only senator who did not vote in favor of the bill.
Obama’s unique objection to voting for a bill meant to protect victims of sex crimes is a substantial departure from the picture he has attempted to paint for women voters.

Obama would later vote “present” on the bill a second time when it returned to the state Senate Judiciary Committee, following passage by the state House. In that committee vote, two other state senators joined Obama in voting “present.”
As he runs for re-election, Obama has made women’s rights — and a supposed Republican “war on women” — a focal point of his campaign. My husband and I were wanting to start a local Bound4Life chapter in the South Texas region. I decided to do some research on the local abortion center, Whole Woman’s Health Clinic, before we headed down there so we would know how to pray. Finding nothing more than some vague information on their website, I decided to call them directly.
I told the receptionist who took my call that I was doing research, trying to gather information on resources in the area. I explained that my husband and I work with youth… some from low income families and we would like to know where we could send women who may need help.
The lady was polite but guarded and sounded annoyed. Every question I asked was answered with a quick “yes” or “yeah” or “no.” Call me crazy, but if I wanted women to come in for services, I would be jumping at the chance to tell all about them. I had to dig. Really dig.
Clearly, mega-watt star Brad Pitt’s mother remains true to her Christian self, unfazed by the influence of the Hollywood elite. The majority of whom, place the anti-American idol Obama upon a pedestal.
I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,”June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.
But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.
Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.
I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.

The Planned Parenthood staffer suggests that the woman get on Medicaid in order to pay for an ultrasound to determine the gender of her baby, even though she plans to use the knowledge for an elective abortion. She also tells the woman to “just continue and try again” for the desired gender after aborting a girl, and adds, “Good luck, and I hope that you do get your boy.”
“The search-and-destroy targeting of baby girls through prenatal testing and abortion is a pandemic that is spreading across the globe,” notes Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action. “Research proves that sex-selective abortion has now come to America. The abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, is a willing participant.”
Six studies in the past four years indicate that there are thousands of “missing girls” in the U.S., many from sex-selective abortion. Coun also reassures the woman that she can carry her pregnancy farther into term before her abortion. “An abortion at any stage up to 24 weeks is considered a safe procedure,” she asserts. ” It’s not that it’s unsafe, or that there’s a lot more risk involved, it’s just there’s more steps involved and it’s just a little more complicated.” Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Center in New York City does abortions up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and is the organization’s national headquarters.
Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards yesterday opposed a ban on sex-selective abortions on the grounds that it would “limit [a woman's] choices as she makes personal medical decisions.”
“Planned Parenthood has built their abortion empire on their belief that any abortion is a good abortion, even if it is motivated by the very discrimination against women that they claim to abhor,” says Lila Rose, president of Live Action. “Planned Parenthood’s abortion-first mentality leads them to defend targeting baby girls for extermination. (Fox) –“The Hunger Games” wasn’t the only film to hit box office paydirt this past weekend. Although it only opened in 390 theaters, the anti-abortion drama “October Baby,” starring John Schneider, earned the second-highest-per-screen average, bringing in almost $2 million in ticket sales.
“I was shattered when I first learned about the story. I was moved and mesmerized. I wasn’t an activist, I was just someone who was shattered by the truth,” director Jon Erwin told FOX411’s Pop Tarts. “Here is our little film, small budget, in the top ten (at the box office). We are thrilled, blown away.”
“October Baby” follows the emotional journey of a young woman who learns that she was almost aborted, but at the last minute was instead given up for adoption. The film almost didn’t see the light of day.
“This film couldn’t find a home, no studio wanted to touch it. It was considered too controversial,” Erwin continued. “There was a real moment of despair at one point, the film wasn’t finished and nobody would take a look at it. But every time we screened it, it attracted such intense emotional reactions. So we had to raise the money ourselves, and the release process took much longer than we wanted.”

Erwin said they are hoping for a wider release next month, and communities are so desperate to see the film they are forming “action squads” in which Christian schools, churches and residents are coming together and agreeing to buy a certain amount of tickets to cover costs.
