MADNESS! Obama State Dept. Is STILL Processing Visas In Ebola Hot Zone Of West Africa At An Est. 100 Per Day!

October 17, 2014 at 10:36 am

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”
Patient Zero Thomas Duncan who is responsible for spreading the deadly virus here in the United States, came to the U.S. from Liberia on a U.S. embassy issued visa. But – “What difference at this point does it make” if they are coming to the U.S. to visit family or to leech off of our healthcare system while risking the health of Americans? Heh.

Via The Daily Signal:

Despite the outbreak of Ebola, it is still possible to get a visa from the three West African countries at the heart of the outbreak, and a key congressman is demanding to know why.

Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee, sent a sternly worded letter to Secretary of State John Kerry about the Obama administration’s handling of the Ebola Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Royce said he was “deeply concerned” U.S. embassies in those countries were continuing to process visas for non-U.S. nationals despite the outbreak of the deadly disease.

An estimated 100 people per day are applying for U.S. visas at the three embassies, according to Royce. “Of course,” he added, “once these individuals are issued a visa by the embassy, they are free to travel to the United States.”

In the letter, Royce urged Kerry to contain the Ebola virus “at its source” in Africa before any additional cases reach the United States.

In related news Conservative Tree House reports:

On the same day that White House spokesperson, Josh Earnest, states the official U.S. position is to continue allowing inbound flights from the Ebola hot zone of West Africa without change or impediment, the administration announces it will enforce mandatory quarantines’ for returning U.S. troops. Fox News’ Bret Baier Exclusive Report: “Stand Down” 13 Hours At Benghazi The Untold Story [VIDEO]

September 5, 2014 at 11:00 am

Speaking publicly for the first time US security team members on the ground during the night of the attack on the secret CIA annex in Benghazi claim they were told “Stand down, you need to wait.” by “Bob” a top CIA Officer in Benghazi.

(Fox News) 13 Hours The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi–A U.S. security team in Benghazi was held back from immediately responding to the attack on the American diplomatic mission on orders of the top CIA officer there, three of those involved told Fox News’ Bret Baier.

Their account gives a dramatic new turn to what the Obama administration and its allies would like to dismiss as an “old story” – the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

Speaking out publicly for the first time, the three were security operators at the secret CIA annex in Benghazi – in effect, the first-responders to any attack on the diplomatic compound. Their first-hand account will be told in a Fox News special, airing Friday night [Sept. 5, 2014] at 10 p.m. (EDT).

Based on the new book “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi” by Mitchell Zuckoff with the Annex Security Team, the special sets aside the political spin that has freighted the Benghazi issue for the last two years, presenting a vivid, compelling narrative of events from the perspective of the men who wore the “boots on the ground.”

The security contractors — Kris (“Tanto”) Paronto, Mark (“Oz”) Geist, and John (“Tig”) Tiegen — spoke exclusively, and at length, to Fox News about what they saw and did that night. Baier, Fox News’ Chief Political Anchor, asked them about one of the most controversial questions arising from the events in Benghazi: Was help delayed?

Word of the attack on the diplomatic compound reached the CIA annex just after 9:30 p.m. Within five minutes, the security team at the annex was geared up for battle, and ready to move to the compound, a mile away.

“Five minutes, we’re ready,” said Paronto, a former Army Ranger. “It was thumbs up, thumbs up, we’re ready to go.”

But the team was held back. According to the security operators, they were delayed from responding to the attack by the top CIA officer in Benghazi, whom they refer to only as “Bob.”

“It had probably been 15 minutes I think, and … I just said, ‘Hey, you know, we gotta– we need to get over there, we’re losing the initiative,’” said Tiegen. “And Bob just looks straight at me and said, ‘Stand down, you need to wait.’”

Tripoli: Amid Worst Violence Since Gaddafi Topple State Dept. Refuses To Evac Embassy

July 16, 2014 at 9:52 am

Imagine the world without Obama having “substantially improved tranquility of the global community.”
Making matters worse, the US Embassy is in close proximity to the top hot spot.

( – As fighting between rival militias rages in Libya — the worst fighting seen in Tripoli since dictator Moammar Gaddafi was toppled in 2011, the Associated Press reported — “no decision has been made” to evacuate the U.S. Embassy, the Obama administration said on Tuesday.

“That’s a decision only the State Department can make,” Rear Admiral John Kirby told a news conference. “And as in Libya or anywhere else in the world, we remain postured and prepared to assist in those kinds of effort should they be required, but they’re not right now, and there’s been no request to do that.”

The United Nations on Monday announced it is temporarily withdrawing its staff from Libya now that the fighting has closed the international airport in Tripoli.

The Libyan government says that 90 percent of the aircraft and several buildings at the airport have been damaged or destroyed in three days of shelling.

The U.S. Embassy is near the airport, and on Tuesday, the State Department was asked about possible evacuations:

“Well, we’re obviously deeply concerned about the level of violence in Libya and some of the incidents you referred to,” State Department spokesman Jen Psaki said.

“Every day we make assessments about the level of violence and the impact on our personnel there, but I don’t have anything to predict for you or outline in terms of any changes to our security posture or level of staffing on the ground.

“There’s nothing more important than the safety — almost nothing more important than the safety and security of our staff. But we do that in private, and I have nothing to outline for you here publicly.”

Unbelievable that Psaki makes such an erroneous contradictory claim with a straight face.

A Benghazi jihad redux waiting to happen? Now that Obama has painted a bounty target on Americans it is anybody’s guess.

Hard Choices indeed.

Hillary on security in Benghazi as told to Diane Sawyer:

As the independent board that investigated every aspect of this, including all the cables, concluded, there was a lack of appreciation and response to the level of threat. … That was never brought to me … What I did was give very direct instructions that the people who have the expertise and experience in security. … That is personal though, Diane. And, I mean, I’m not equipped to sit and look at blueprints, to determine where the blast walls need to be or where the reinforcements need to be. That’s why we hire people who have that expertise. … But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t saying all the time, “We’ve gotta make sure we secure this spot and that spot.”

Doesn’t mean that she did either.

Hillary lied. Americans died.

UPDATE: The price of Hillary’s new tome has already been slashed on very the day (today June 10, 2014) it was released. HA!

Hillary Armed Taliban With Stinger Missiles Used To Attack US Chopper

Serial numbers tell no lies.

(NY Post) –In his new book, “Dark Forces: The Truth About What Happened in Benghazi” (Broadside Books), writer Kenneth R. Timmerman explains how the US government’s efforts to arm the Libyan rebels backfired, flooding weapons into Syria, and as he reveals here, Afghanistan:

The Obama administration isn’t only giving the Taliban back its commanders — it’s giving them weapons.

Military records and sources reveal that on July 25, 2012, Taliban fighters in Kunar province successfully targeted a US Army CH-47 helicopter with a new generation Stinger missile.
The next day, an explosive ordnance disposal team arrived to pick through the wreckage and found unexploded pieces of a missile casing that could only belong to a Stinger missile.

Lodged in the right nacelle, they found one fragment that contained an entire serial number.
My sources in the US Special Operations community believe the Stinger fired against the Chinook was part of the same lot the CIA turned over to the Qataris in early 2011, weapons Hillary Rodham Clinton’s State Department intended for anti-Khadafy forces in Libya.

They believe the Qataris delivered between 50 and 60 of those same Stingers to the Taliban in early 2012, and an additional 200 SA-24 Igla-S surface-to-air missiles.

Qatar now is expected to hold five Taliban commanders released from Guantanamo for a year before allowing them to go to Afghanistan.

What weaponry took down the Chinook which resulted in 25 SEAL Team 6 deaths??
It was reportedly shot down by a shoulder-fired missile.
I wonder since the article mentions that the Qataris also delivered 200 SA-24 Igla-S surface-to-air missiles to the taliban.

H/T Daniel Greenfield who lists Kenneth Timmerman’s qualifications for writing on the subject here.

Speaking of Qatar. Check out this damning report circa 2007:

(ABC) American officials say the FBI and CIA just missed capturing the al Qaeda leader believed to have organized the 9/11 attacks — and now believed to be planning a new attack against Americans — because it appears he was protected and tipped off by a member of the royal family in Qatar, Abdullah Bin Khalid al-Thani.

American authorities say Khalid Shaikh Mohammed masterminded behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks for Osama bin Laden, and is now considered bin Laden’s second in command.
n 1996, the FBI tracked Mohammed, under indictment on charges of terrorism, to Qatar’s capital city, Doha, and was within hours of capturing him.

Cloonan, who was the lead FBI agent on the case, said a specially equipped government executive jet, complete with blacked-out windows, was standing by to transport Mohammed.

“We had located Khalid Sheikh,” Cloonan told ABCNEWS. “We were prepared to fly the plane in and to take him out.”

But Cloonan says Mohammed was tipped off shortly after Qatar officials were told of the plan and headed for the airport.

“Somebody had leaked the information to Khalid Sheikh and he left,” said Cloonan. “It certainly, in my judgment, [was] a significant opportunity that was missed.”
But at least one member of the royal family is known to have regularly provided safe haven for numerous al Qaeda operatives, including bin Laden.

“Certainly it is well-documented that there is one member of the Qatar royal family that supports al Qaeda,” said Rohan Gunaratna, the author of the book Inside Al Qaeda and professor at St. Andrews University in Scotland.

According to American intelligence officials, Abdallah bin Khalid al-Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family tipped off Mohammed. He is listed on government Web sites as the current minister of the Interior for Qatar and is known as a radical Islamic fundamentalist with ties to al Qaeda.

Mohammed is believed to have fled Qatar with a passport provided by that country’s government. He is also believed to have been given a home in Qatar as well as a job at the Department of Public Water Works. Officials also said bin Laden himself visited Abdallah bin Khalid al-Thani in Qatar between the years of 1996 and 2000.

One former CIA official who preferred to remain anonymous said the connection went beyond al-Thani and there were others in the Qatari royal family who were sympathetic and provided safe havens for al Qaeda. [...]

State Dept Spox On If Bergdahl Deserted: ‘Dude, That Was Like 5 Years Ago’ [Video]

June 4, 2014 at 11:19 am

“So you’ve had all this time, five years, to determine whether he was a deserter or not. That’s a long time.”

Via Nice Deb:

Harf thus breezily dismissed the multiple accounts of Bergdahl’s desertion that have emerged over the past several days, suggesting to  Tomlinson that if he  “Googled it ”  he’d find “a ton of conflicting reports.”

But the accounts I’ve seen from Bergdahl’s platoon mates have all been strikingly similar. The only one that differs is the account by Bergdahl himself in the Haqqani propaganda video, in which he said he was captured when he lagged behind his patrol.

After the past few days of the truth gushing out of Bergdahl’s old platoon like a geyser, pretty much everyone but the most brain dead drones understand that that account was a lie. [...]

FOX NEWS’  LUCAS TOMLINSON: Does the State Department consider Sergeant Bergdahl to be a deserter?

MS. HARF: The State Department – no, Lucas. Look, what we said is we are going to learn the facts about what happened here. We said very clearly in a statement from the Secretary on Saturday that Sergeant Bergdahl was a member of the United States military who volunteered to serve his country. We don’t know the facts about what happened yet on that day.

TOMLINSON: (Inaudible) according to those around him, his platoon mates, his squad mates, company mates, they said he walked off the base.

MS. HARF: Lucas, some of them – other – there are conflicting reports out there about this. Look –

TOMLINSON: Are there?

MS. HARF: There are. Go Google it on the web and you’ll find a ton of conflicting reports. The fact is we’re still establishing a fact pattern about what happened, how he ended up in Taliban captivity. So when he is able to share those, as Chairman Dempsey said today, he will. He also said, like any American, he is innocent until proven guilty. Our army’s leaders will not look away from misconduct if it occurred. In the meantime, we will continue to care for him and his family.

So I think people need to be really careful about believing every second or third-hand report out there, and also what the President, what the Secretary, what Chairman Dempsey have said: Regardless of how he went missing, it is our responsibility to him to bring him home, period.

TOMLINSON: And when you say second- and third-hand reports, when his squad mates who served with him overseas said he walked off the –

MS. HARF: Lucas, I’m sure some of them – I mean, look, there’s a lot of rumor and telephone game that’s being played here about what happened. Not all –

TOMLINSON: So you’re saying that the guys on television last night – his squad mates, platoon mates – were not correct?

MS. HARF: I’m saying we don’t know the fact pattern yet here. We don’t. Nobody knows exactly what happened that night. As the facts emerge, as he’s able to discuss them with the Department of Defense, we will see where that takes us.

TOMLINSON: Going back to –

MS. HARF: That happened five years ago. This is a situation –

TOMLINSON: So you’ve had all this time, five years, to determine whether he was a deserter or not. That’s a long time.

MS. HARF: He’s been in captivity, Lucas. I think he’s probably the person who knows best what happened on that night.

TOMLINSON: But – well, I think that his squad mates have the best indication what happened that night.

MS. HARF: I don’t think that that’s the case.

A lying liar calling soldiers liars. Has she no shame? That’s a rhetorical question folks.

And ICYMI Obama’s United States National Security Advisor. Susan Rice was trotted out yet again to engage in damage control.  When asked if Bergdahl was a deserter she responded; “He served the United States with honor and distinction.”

So there you have it America, Susan Rice is once again a major catalyst to pushing yet another false regime narrative — lying straight to our faces AGAIN — but –’what difference does it make’ whether or not Bergdahl is a deserter? Regardless of what BS State Dept spox Marie Harf spews, the Regime has already predetermined that he is not.

False talking points prepackaged for low-info voters consumption.

Nice Deb also has an informative Bergdahl roundup here.

And I highly recommend Michelle Malkin’s:Exclusive: The story you haven’t yet heard about Bowe Bergdahl’s desertion Michelle’s piece includes a link to a petition demanding that Bergdahl be punished for his AWOL/desertion.

Mr. Speaker, couple lessons I learned in the Army were you moved to the sound of gunfire and the most important step in the troop leading procedures is to supervise the execution of you orders.

When Americans were fighting for their lives in Benghazi, Barack Obama did neither. He sent no quick reaction force and didn’t even stay in the situation room to supervise the execution of his orders. We expect more from the lieutenants in the army than our president gave us that night.

For two years he’s covered up this failure of leadership by stonewalling. Not anymore. We will now get to the truth.

But what do our colleagues on the other side of the aisle say to this? They express great outrage at politicizing this matter.

When I was leading troops in Iraq in 2006, men and women who were being shot at and blown up by al Qaeda, where was the outrage as they fundraised endlessly off the Iraq war?

Where was the outrage as they viciously attacked our commanders?

Where was the outrage when they said soldiers were war criminals?

Where was the outrage when they said the war was lost?

Where was the outrage when they said only high school dropouts join the Army?

Forgive me if I don’t join my democratic colleagues in their fake outrage. Four Americans lost their lives that night in Benghazi. They deserve justice and the American people deserve the truth.

One other lesson I learned in the Army is that we leave no man behind. And we will not leave these four men behind.

SecState Hillary Clinton Refused To Designate Boko Haram As Terrorist Group

May 8, 2014 at 9:47 am

Dereliction of duty and rank hypocrisy (after the fact).

(The Daily Beast) –Under Hillary Clinton, the State Department repeatedly declined to fully go after the terror group responsible for kidnapping hundreds of girls.

The State Department under Hillary Clinton fought hard against placing the al Qaeda-linked militant group Boko Haram on its official list of foreign terrorist organizations for two years. And now, lawmakers and former U.S. officials are saying that the decision may have hampered the American government’s ability to confront the Nigerian group that shocked the world by abducting hundreds of innocent girls. In the past week, Clinton, who made protecting women and girls a key pillar of her tenure at the State Department, has been a vocal advocate for the 200 Nigerian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram, the loosely organized group of militants terrorizing northern Nigeria. Her May 4 tweet about the girls, using the hashtag #BringOurGirlsBack, was cited across the media and widely credited for raising awareness of their plight.

killary bring our girls back tweet

On Wednesday, Clinton said that the abduction of the girls by Boko Haram was “abominable, it’s criminal, it’s an act of terrorism and it really merits the fullest response possible, first and foremost from the government of Nigeria.” Clinton said that as Secretary of State she had numerous meetings with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and had urged the Nigerian government to do more on counterterrorism.

What Clinton didn’t mention was that her own State Department refused to place Boko Haram on the list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2011, after the group bombed the U.N. headquarters in Abuja. The refusal came despite the urging of the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, and over a dozen senators and congressmen.

“The one thing she could have done, the one tool she had at her disposal, she didn’t use. And nobody can say she wasn’t urged to do it. It’s gross hypocrisy,” said a former senior U.S. official who was involved in the debate. “The FBI, the CIA, and the Justice Department really wanted Boko Haram designated, they wanted the authorities that would provide to go after them, and they voiced that repeatedly to elected officials.”
